FINAL CUT & BRIGHTON FESTIVAL FRINGE PRESENT

THE 2008 'LIGHTNING' DOCUMENTARY CHALLENGE
We've joined forces with the Brighton Festival Fringe to bring you the 2008 Lightning Documentary Challenge, an exciting film competition anyone can enter, regardless of experience. We’re particularly keen on first-time or less experienced filmmakers taking part as entries will be judged as much on the originality of your idea as slick production values.
All you have to do is form a team of 2-4 people and make a mini-doc of two minutes duration about a fringe act that will be allocated to you at a special briefing and registration session on Saturday, May 10th. The 'challenge' for your team is to then go out and make a film about this act and deliver it to us at the Fringe offices the following afternoon for screening at the Final Cut 'Lightning Docs' event that night. All completed films will be viewed by our audience and a special Judging Panel, with the winners receiving BIG prizes, including a special audience prize.
So, if you’ve got great idea for a film about the fringe and access to a camera of some kind - any kind - Super 8, VHS, digital, mobile phone etc, we want to hear from you!
To enter the competition, simply complete the entry form below. Deadline for entries is Monday, May 5th. We will be contact you soon after by email with details of the briefing session.
