This high-impact black comedy is set in a Britain of the
near future and tells the story of James T. Swallow, consultant surgeon in medical
robotics at the new Wal Mart hospital in London's Docklands. Sidelined by his
own brilliance and reeling from a damaging divorce, he devises a terrible revenge
on the woman who spurned him.
The film's climax occurs when his wife returns to the ex-marital home, hoping to sort out the remains of their marriage. Instead, she is confronted by the remains of her husband who has engineered an ghastly surprise to greet her. |

A few weeks later, Nick's taxi is assigned to drive Anna to her wedding and things spiral out of control as he becomes torn between family loyalty, his sense of fair play and fancying Anna. |

Filmed partly in Brighton, Spirit of Cuba presents
a unique insight into Afro-Cuban music via the music
and dance of Havana-based Vocal Baobab.
Starting with a brief introduction to Cuban culture,
the film takes us to several exotic locations to
explore the traditional songs and dances of the Orishas,
including Eleguá, Yemayá, Ochún,
Oggún, Osain and Iroko. This is a fascinating
view of the spirit of Afro Cuba, and the intoxicating
rhythms and movement that lie at its heart.
