:: THE MEETING PLACE – Director Richard Harris - 21 mins ::
Just a stone’s throw from Brighton's doomed West Pier, the famous Meeting Place beach café has been a seaside institution as popular with locals as the Palace Pier is with visitors. Sadly, after 80 years of trading, the Meeting Place closed its faded wooden shutters for the last time in December 2002. With the help of some of its more eccentric customers, this funny and affectionate film tells the story of the original Meeting Place before it disappears forever.

Pictured with the Lord Mayor at the opening of the new cafe are BBC Radio's Joanne Good and Rodney Posner, owner of The Meeting Place since 1978.

:: BUCKETHEAD AND THE RAPTURE - Director Matt Brownsword - 9 mins ::
Made under the Digital Shorts scheme 2002, supported by Lighthouse Media and The Film Council, this unusual animation tells the story of a boy born with a bucket on his head.

:: RETROGRADE - Director Adam Lavis - 5 mins ::
When's the last time you forgot something? Your keys, a name, an appointment? It's easy for us to pretend we know the frustration of memory-loss, but can we ever really imagine a life without it? After a car accident left him with no short-term memory, Faisal now lives in a perpetual present - a world outside of time.

:: SIXTY CUPS OF COFFEE - Director David Ward - 9 mins ::
Rickie Cass once read that sixty cups of coffee would kill you, stopping your heart like a tightly-wound watch. One morning in a down-at-heel diner full of Texan misfits, he decides to find out the truth. Sixty Cups of Coffee is an award-winning black (coffee) comedy, following one man's quest for truth and the reactions of those who witness his gruesome journey to the bottom of that last cup.

:: HOUSE BOUND - Director Saffron Holloway - 15 mins ::
The home library service run by Camden Libraries in London brings books,
music and videos to housebound Camden residents, most of whom are elderly or disabled. This film follows two of the library team on their rounds, focusing on four recipients of the service; Max, who is severely disabled, Rose and Clare who share a house together, and Jenifer who is widowed and lives alone.

House Bound explores what this service means to housebound people and how it enables them to find some means of escape through literature, films and music.

:: DIGITALIS - Directors Marco Alessi and Ninoslav Vrana - 10 mins ::
Robbie Digital takes us on a journey that explores the effects of new technologies on today's society. We eat, drink, sleep and live surrounded by binary codes, but the unlimited powers of 1's and 0's are quickly turning into a Room 101 scenario. So, are numbers really everything?

Set in a backdrop of futuristic underground tunnels, this vision of connectivity, order and chaos will leave you wondering about society's direction and its enthusiastic relationship with technology.

:: REDEMPTION - Directors Darius G. Laws and Nick Woolgar - 24 mins ::
AD 2019 - After the Godfather's violent rise to power, Capel has become a dark and violent gangland. As two rival gangs battle mercilessly for control, former gang member Johnny G resolves to change things, with help from an unexpected ally. Redemption is the 4th part in the Capel Westside Story saga - a series of zero-budget short films made by self-taught film-makers.

:: MOTORING BRITAIN - Director Callum Morrison - 6 mins ::
Althought a synopsis and still haven't been sent to us yet, we've seen the film and like it a lot. This is not one of those dodgy 50s travelogues (hey! what's wrong with 50s travelogues?).
