:: HOW TO DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY - Director Steve Piper - 8 mins ::
A young, disillusioned photographer turns his back on society to focus his attention on the beauty of the countryside. In glorious summer sunshine, following deer and badgers, he believes he has discovered himself and found his place in the world. The days pass happily until he sees a beautiful girl walking in the countryside and is forced to confront the chasm between his idealism and the flawed world he left behind.

:: OFANIM - Director Oblong - 4 mins ::
Music and sound have the power to evoke both colour and form. This technically brilliant experimental music video explores this view via the music of Berio's Ofanim. The piece itself is a collage of sounds and multi-instruments, involving human voices, volume changes, continuous passages - even silence - with Oblong's animation as a visual accompaniment. Weird music, great visuals.

:: FOREVER, UNTIL DEATH - Director Kat Frost - 7 mins ::
This powerful drama is based on Angela Carter's The Magic Toyshop and tells the story of Melanie, a young woman celebrating her new sexually mature body who spends carefree days fantasising about a future husband and romance. These innocent reveries are cruelly interrupted by the sudden death of her parents, changing Melanie's life forever. Soon after moving in with her Uncle and his wife, she has an affair with Finn, the wife's repulsive brother, and is forced to confront the cruel realities of politics and sex.

:: PC THEODORE PITTS: PIGEON POLICE - Director James Scott - 13 mins ::
Courage & Discipline - these are just of the two words that PC Theodore Pitts can't spell. Pitts is the man who keeps the streets of Brighton free from crime and, most important, free from pigeons. But how does a cop from the Deep South (of the USA) come to be responsible for pigeon law enforcement in the deep south of England? Watch this hilarious mockumentary and find out.

:: THE VOID - Director Toby Tatum - 5 mins ::
A disturbing psychological film-noir featuring a creepy soundtrack from Brighton-based electronic outfit, Testcard. It concerns the fate of a beautiful, disturbed young woman alone in her stark apartment who is plagued by submerged horrors and strange, unsettling, imaginings.

The director's screening notes request the film is shown at 'maximum volume'. So, ear-plugs in for this one.

:: IMMORTAL COIL - Director Andrew Purtell - 8 mins ::
Exciting, fast-paced and superbly made Sci-Fi animation set in Earth's distant future. The human race is long extinct and two species of super-advanced robots rule the world, fighting an endless pre-programmed fight for eternal life.

:: HOLIDAY WITH GEORGE - Director Linus Lindell - 17 mins ::
In this touching film, nine-year-old Melinda tells us about her plans to find a new wife for her unsuspecting grandfather, the slightly loopy widower, George, whose sole interest in life is meteorology. Convinced he will die soon if he continues to live alone, she becomes obsessed with finding him a suitable mate. Spotting an advert for Clacton in the local paper, she decides this would be a good place to find him a bride and so persuades George to take her there for a day out.

:: THE LARDER - Directors Billy Jackson & Gary Davis - 7mins ::
This chiller is strongly reminiscent of TV's Tales Of The Unexpected and tells the story of how a hedonistic and sumptuous dinner party held in an isolated farmhouse (where else?) goes horribly wrong. As the decadent evening progresses the diners, including the beautiful young French woman, Yvette, become increasingly aware that something is amiss. Something more terrible than anybody could have imagined…

:: NO SPARK - Directors Amby Kirkpatrick & Tim Puckey - 7 mins ::
An unexpected power cut highlights the state of a couple's relationship as they are forced to spend an evening together without the usual distractions of modern life. Filmed in Brighton with an original locally-produced soundtrack, this thoughtful drama explores the darker side of human relationships.
