GONE 2 SOON - Director Dewi Bruce-Konuah - 17 mins
On St Valentine's Day 2007, 15-year-old Billy Cox was shot dead inside his home on the Fenwick Estate in south west London. Billy's murder, and the unconnected shootings of two south London teenagers a few weeks earlier, made headline news across around the world and cast a media spotlight on Britain's black community. Gone 2 Soon delves beneath the over-heated headlines to reveal the enormous impact Billy's murder had on his friends, neighbours and the local community.

THE TECHNICAL HITCH - Director Jon Dunleavy - 6 mins
We’ve had a large amount of claymation work submitted this year, so it’s nice to see bit of good old-fashioned computer wizardry. This fast-paced and cleverly written film is narrated by TV’s Robert Lindsay who recently guest-starred in 'Extras' on BBC2. |
