BRIGHTON
FESTIVAL FRINGE 2008
SPOTLIGHT SOUTH EAST - Sunday, May 4th @ Sallis Benney Theatre
Our first screening of the 2008 Brighton Festival presented this superb collection of 15 short films from the region's most talented indie filmmakers. There was something for everyone in tonight's packed programme of brand-new work: drama, comedy, animation, documentaries, music videos and ultra-shorts - including Tim Hunt's The Lonely Tree, south east winner of the 2008 Orange BAFTA 60 Seconds of Fame and Mike Rymer's Sick, Gold Award winner in the 2008 Houston International Film Festival.
In addition to the films, there were innovative film-themed VJ sets from Quadratura and a surprise mini-drama written and performed by Brighton's famous Bite-Size Theatre. |
